Swaroop has been in independent practice as a Company Secretary since June 2011 and was elevated to Fellow Membership of the ICSI in 2016 (membership F8977). His professional formation also includes a CA-Inter qualification (2006) and a Bachelor's in Business Management with a Finance specialisation (2003).
His practice spans corporate laws, securities laws, foreign exchange management, intellectual property, industrial and labour laws, environmental laws, and management and startup advisory. He leads engagements in Board Process Audits, Corporate Governance Audits, Secretarial Audits, Internal Audits on Functions and Activities, and Corporate Actions / Transactions-based Due Diligence Audits for listed and unlisted companies as well as LLPs.
In litigation, his work is concentrated in shareholder disputes, board deadlocks, and oppression and mismanagement matters - the kind of internal corporate friction that demands as much commercial judgement as legal precision.

Vivantha Education Trust - Chairman. A trust focused on early childhood education, recognised among the top 100 preschools in India by Brainfeed magazine in January 2023. The trust's pedagogical approach guides children from dependence to independence - from shaky coordination to refined motor skills, from body language to verbal communication, and from self-absorption to social awareness.
